.:Officially a YUPPIE:.
This is my first entry in such a loooooong time..sorry for the insufficient delay. this is also my first entry as a Marketing Executive...*gasp this mean that i have a job already..*yeay*jump up and down. i managed to nail the job on the first interview already..i am soo gifted when it comes to communication and impressing others..hahahha and with this designation i have a lot of work load to do..the other marketing exec is 100% depending on me..she is a malaysian-born-chinese who to my amazament cannot speak in any ohter langguage except for cantonese. so in my office right now communication is a major problem. we are like ducks and chickens me being the latter one. there are only two(2) malays in my whole management office(which consist of 25 people) ohters are chinese who seems to hv issues with their bahasa melayu and english..my first day here i felt like WTF!!!this is what you get if employer prefer chinese dialect speaking employees. imagine the hardship the other marketing exec have to go through to present a project to any potential clients, the vendors and contractors that she have to communicate with..but come to think back again i dont think she have problems with that because they are all CHINESE..so right as you can guess its me who's facing difficulties.
A quitter Amir is not...i dont give a fuck if they understand my english at a so-so level, its them who need learn from me...not me learning from them..(i did thought of enrolling into a cantonese class at the end of this month) but no way!!..the rule of business says that ENGLISH IS THE BUSINESS LANGUAGE..i dont care if they have to constantly search for meaning of words from websters or oxford dictionary..do it my way or the high way..hahaha(evil laugh)
Well, apart from the itsy-bitsy-smally-wally problem, i think working life is fun (the pharase is not 100% true). with work comes priorities and responsibilities..which i am always juggling but personally i think this will make me stronger. its just that i am beginning to turn into a very dull individual..i cant find time for my frens anymore..but i promise we'll do some catching up over the weekends..i promise. can't wait for the ramadhan and syawal to come when i can at least sponsor some kuih raya and other preparations to the family.
I am missing my college buddies so badly..i miss the good old days..the days of fun and i-dont-gv-a-shit days i've had with them. but life is a journey where we'll say hi and goodbye to alot of people..but they will always be my posse, my army and my budak-budak.
